ICT (information communication technology) in schools
With ICT now having such a large part to play in the curriculum it’s important to make sure that the schools computer equipment is running perfectly so that lessons are more about learning ICT skills than watching the teacher struggle to get the equipment working. First Line Support offers many services that will help your school develop its ICT.
Services offered include:
Regular six hour weekly
visits to make sure your equipment is always running at it’s best for a fixed fee per annum,
During these visits First Line Support will help to prevent problems arising and to solve any issues that may already be affecting your system. We can advise on the latest hardware and software developments, and have a lot of experience with early years, key stage one and two software and curriculum needs.
We also undertake ad hock arrangements where by you can call to arrange service calls on an as required basis, these are charged as per the standard terms and conditions of engagement.
Also offered is tuition for staff so that they have a better understand of the hardware and software they are required to teach with (Eg. Interactive whiteboard training) this can be done either in a class teaching situation or as inset days.

"The
school has made good progress since the last inspection and standards are
now average. Good subject leadership by the co-ordinator has turned this
subject round from a weakness to a strength. The co-ordinator has supported
staff use of improved computer resources more effectively than in the past.
Staff confidence and expertise have developed as a result of training and
support, and they use the ICT suite well. The new ICT system is well
managed, and effective technical support maintains a wide range of high
quality software matched to pupils’ ages."
